When God speaks, trust Him

“I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.”Psalm 138:2 NIV1984

Your word -- your promises -- is only as good as your character. If you're character is not reliable, your promises mean nothing. That's why they always go together, word and the character of the person. You cannot separate the two. This is also the reason also why we call the Bible the word of God, because God Himself speaks through His word, and therefore His character is always at stake when He speaks. We can fully rely on the Bible because God Himself has spoken, and continues to speak, through His word. It is ultimately trustworthy because God is trustworthy. He loves us and He is faithful. So why don't you worship Him today for He has given us His word, which is backed up by His character. Remember, His love and faithfulness endures forever!
