Complete in Christ

“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.” Colossians 2:9-10 NIV1984

What has really happened when you got saved? Perhaps it has not really dawned on you. Well, maybe not yet. But something really awesome has happened. You have been given fullness in Christ! What does this mean? This means that Christ, who is fully God, is in you, and therefore everything you'll ever need for life and godliness -- to be more like God, to be in His image and likeness, and to fulfill His purpose -- is available to you completely through His divine presence in you. You don't need anything or anyone else to complete you. You don't lack anything. Christ completes you. He has done, is doing, and will do whatever you need in order for you to be all that God wants you to be. Everything pertaining to God is now possible in your life through your union with Christ. Rejoice in Him and reject whatever thought or idea that says you are still incomplete. Reject any form of idol. You are complete in Christ!
